INTERVIEW | Sam Smeaton looks ahead to Barrow clash

The Dons captain says the squad have been focused and positive in training this week as they gear up for the trip north west.

Doncaster RLFC are looking for a positive reaction as they head north west to Barrow Raiders this Sunday, April 21. 

Reflecting on last week's result Smeaton said, "Obviously after the game everyone was very disappointed. We reviewed the game as a group to see where we can be better and from that point on we've been focused and positive on what we need to do this week.  

"The message from the coaching staff has been simple, stop making unforced errors and get back to the basics of the game and that's what gives us the best chance of winning the energy battle." 

The forward went on to discuss Barrow saying, "They are always a tough side to beat even more so when they're on home turf. They have a big pack and good outside backs that will chalenge us physically."
